Business Information: When you run an audit, you provide your business name, location, website URL, industry, services offered, and competitor names. This information is used solely to generate your audit queries and analyze AI platform responses.
Payment Information: If you purchase a paid report or toolkit, payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVV on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
Audit Data: We store the queries sent to AI platforms and the responses received during your audit. This data is associated with your session and is used to generate your report and recommendations.
Usage Data: We automatically collect standard web analytics data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on our site. This helps us improve the service.

We use the information we collect to generate your AI visibility audit report and recommendations, process payments for paid tiers, improve and optimize our audit methodology, communicate with you about your audit results or account, and analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve our service. 3. Third-Party Services
Cited integrates with the following third-party services: AI Platforms (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Gemini) to query how your business appears in AI-generated responses; Stripe for secure payment processing; Vercel for application hosting; and Supabase for data storage. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
4. Data Retention
Audit session data is retained for 90 days to allow you to access your results and for us to improve our service. Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations. You may request deletion of your audit data at any time by contacting us at hello@aicited.io.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission, secure API communication with AI platforms using authenticated endpoints, payment processing through Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure, database hosting on Supabase with row-level security and encrypted storage, and application hosting on Vercel with enterprise-grade infrastructure. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. What We Don't Collect
Cited does not require user account creation. Access to free audit previews is session-based with no login required. We do not store passwords or account credentials. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. We do not collect personal information about your customers. We do not access your website's backend, CMS, or hosting account.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to the data we hold about your business audit, request deletion of your audit data at any time, request correction of any inaccurate information in your audit, opt out of any marketing communications, and receive a copy of your audit data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@aicited.io. We will respond to requests within 30 days.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not sell personal information to third parties. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. 9. Children's Privacy
Cited is a business tool not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@aicited.io and we will delete it promptly.
