Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Cited website at aicited.io and the Cited application at app.aicited.io. By using Cited, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Service Description
Cited provides an AI visibility audit service that queries major AI platforms (Claude by Anthropic, ChatGPT by OpenAI, and Gemini by Google) to analyze how your business appears in AI-generated responses. We provide diagnostic reports, competitive analysis, and remediation tools including llms.txt files and schema markup.
2. Pricing & Payment
Cited offers a free preview with limited audit results, a Visibility Report ($79) with full diagnosis across all platforms, and a Visibility Toolkit ($149) which includes everything in the Report plus generated llms.txt file, schema markup, and implementation guide. All prices are in USD. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are subject to change with notice.
3. Important Disclaimers
AI responses are not controlled by Cited. We query AI platforms and report what they say, but we do not control, influence, or guarantee AI-generated content. AI platform responses are dynamic and may change at any time based on model updates, new training data, geographic location, and other factors. Your audit results represent a snapshot in time, not a permanent assessment.
No guaranteed outcomes. Implementing our recommendations may improve your AI visibility, but we cannot guarantee specific results. AI platforms make independent decisions about what content to surface. Cited is not a substitute for professional marketing, SEO, legal, or business consulting advice.
4. Refund Policy
Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of purchase. Contact hello@aicited.io to request a refund. Refunds may not be available if Toolkit deliverables (llms.txt, schema markup) have already been downloaded, as these are generated specifically for your business. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that appear to be made in bad faith.
5. Acceptable Use
You must own or be authorized to represent the business you are auditing. You may not use Cited to audit businesses you do not have authorization to represent, attempt to reverse-engineer our scoring methodology or audit process, resell or redistribute audit reports without authorization, use automated tools to access our service beyond normal usage, or submit false or misleading business information.
6. Intellectual Property
Cited owns all rights to our audit methodology, scoring framework, report designs, and platform technology. You retain ownership of all business information you provide to us. Generated deliverables (llms.txt files, schema markup) are created for your use and you may deploy, modify, and distribute them freely for your business. AI platform responses quoted in reports are the property of their respective platforms.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cited's total liability for any claim arising from your use of our service is limited to the amount you paid for your audit. Cited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, business interruption, or loss of data. This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability.
8. Third-Party Services
Cited relies on third-party AI platforms (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) and infrastructure providers (Stripe, Vercel, Supabase). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of these third-party services. Changes to AI platform APIs, terms of service, or response behavior may affect our service. We will make reasonable efforts to adapt to such changes but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Cited shall be resolved in the courts of Minnesota.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of Cited after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users.
